Before Ryuu had come, Arien had picked up the scroll once more. Holding it close, she was planning to go back to the dojo. Well, so much for that. The blade was held to her throat, nicking a bit of her skin. A thin trail of blood followed. Her eyes widened and she dropped the scroll right away. "I didn't.....I mean..."

"Silent." Ryuu's eyes flashed green, and he struggled to control his blade. The Dragon of the Forest had lain dorment so long, now it demanded to be let out. But Ryuu didn't want to use it on Arien. The encounter would destroy her. "Don't whimper, don't breathe hard, don't scream...." he placed his face next to hers. "....don't even sweat."

Arien held her breathe, even afraid to breathe. What was wrong with him? It was just a scroll. God, she made lots at home. Something was different with him. Then, something in the back of her mind clicked. It was like in the forest. When she took his headband.

Ryuu didn't smile as she obeyed. Instead, he pressed the katana slightly closer to her throat. "Good. Now, I want you to pick up that scroll, turn around, and hand it to me. Understood?" He glared at her, his eyes narrowed. "You obey, or you die."

Of course, Arien would of nodded, except for the fact that a blade was pressed against her throat. She grabbed the scroll, flipped it over, and handed it to Ryuu. She did this slowly, as her other hand was inching toward a dagger. Her hand met with its clasp. Quickly, she pulled it out and attempted to drive it into Ryuu's arm. Hopefully her would be temporarily distracted. Then, she took off, running at full speed, not daring to look behind her.

Ryuu grasped the scroll, tucking it away safely in his kimono with his free hand. Next thing he knew, a dagger had found its way into his arm. Ryuu looked at the wound, confused, and noticed Arien had run off. The Dragon of the Forest didn't even note the pain as he felt himself crouch down, low to the ground. In a matter of seconds, he was tearing up the forest floor, on all fours, the katana clutched in his mouth. He overtook Arien in a matter of seconds, flinging to his feet right in front of her, dropping the katana to his right hand, drawing the kodachi with his left, and flipping the wakizashi into his mouth. Managing to talk around the blade, he spoke. "Stop right there, and I won't have to kill you."

Arien fell forward, landing roughly on the ground. At first, she thought she just tripped on another root, then she noticed Ryuu. He was standing over her, blade in mouth. She rolled on her side, and clutched her knees. Arien looked so helpless. She was confused, scared even. Why was he hunting her? Why not just leave her alone. It seemed he was mighty good at running away.

Ryuu -- rather, The Dragon of the Forest, for Ryuu had fully lost control by now -- stared down at the girl on the floor. "You must forget everything you just read. Forget it, or I will be forced to destroy you, and believe me. I. Will. Not. Hesitate." He scanned the woman up and down, noting somewhere in the back of his mind that she seemed familiar. Confused, the Dragon roared and bit down harder on the wakizashi. The sound echoed through the forest as the Dragon prepared himself to kill Arien.

Arien clamped her hand over her ears and shut her eyes. Tears started to roll down her cheeks. "Don't hurt me again. Please don't hurt me again." Her voice was barely audible.
(Flashback! We haven't had one of these in a while (: }
Ryuu ranked his kunai across Arien's arm, glaring at her. "You did it all wrong, you stupid girl! You can't do anything"
Arien sat huddled in the corner of the room, shivering. "I'm sorry. I didn't know...I mean..I.."
Ryuu gripped his kunai tighter. "Shutup!"
{End flashbackness}

The Dragon gazed down at the cowering girl, his eyes narrowed, and the blades clutched tightly in his hands and jaw. His eyes slowly traced over the girl's figure, suddenly noticing the tattoos on the girl's arms. "Arien." His eyes were wide and his voice was terrified. "Arien! I'm so sorry!" He dropped the wakizashi, kodachi, and katana, and fell against her, hugging her close to him. "I'm so sorry."

Arien shivered, pushing Ryuu away. "Don't touch me." She crawled a little ways away and sat down. The room was silent. "You could have told me." She clutched her dress. "About him, or them rather. Then you wouldn't of had to hide. And I wouldn't of had to run."

Ryuu shook his head. "I couldn't have told you, Arien. You never should have found out. Katashi is long gone, and I didn't mean to bring you into his mess. You see, Katashi is...." he trailed off, staring into the forest.

Arien tapped her chin thoughtfully. "I see. So thats why you left the doors open then bumped into me, dropped the scroll, and let me get away." She glanced at him. "And I still wasn't supposed to know?" She tapped his forehead. "Subconsciously you were begging for me to know. Begging!"

Ryuu gave her a dark look. "You were never supposed to know. It's not my fault if Katashi called out to you. I thought he was fully dead." Ryuu shook his head. "But still. You didn't have to read it."

Arien stuck her tongue out. "You were being all secretive. Which means I had to know. Its your fault you didn't tell me in the first place. And its your fault you left open the door. Like I wouldn't come back in?"
